Week of Welcome (W.O.W.) takes place during the four days prior to the start of classes. Sessions are designed to be a continuation of your summer orientation experience. You will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and fellow students as well as discover the many opportunities our campus has to offer. There are also many social events to help you meet new people and have fun!

New Students that are living on campus will move into their residence halls on Thursday, August 22, 2024 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
 

Note: Jacket Link, Honors, Marching Band, international students, and fall varsity athletics will already be on campus; as are new students who attend the Orientation session on August 21.

 

REQUIRED SESSIONS: While new students are encouraged to attend as much of WOW as possible, the following times are REQUIRED:

Thursday: 6:45 – 9:00 pm                       
Friday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm                     
Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

We are excited for you to begin your journey as a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L)! Orientation is an important first step in your BW experience. It offers helpful information about your upcoming BW experience and an opportunity to meet other students who will be joining you as classmates.

Whether you are a recent high school graduate or transferring to Baldwin Wallace, orientation is designed to welcome you to the BW community.

EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS DURING ORIENTATION
• Be open to the people you meet and experiences you have at your
Orientation.
• Show respect for the Baldwin Wallace and Berea Community.
• Show respect for your classmates, their ideas, perspectives, and beliefs.
• Participate in all activities during Orientation.
• Be on time for all sessions and events.
• Silence cell phone and put away during sessions.
• Abide by BW Alcohol and Drug Policy. Alcohol and drugs of any kind
are prohibited during Orientation.
