10/14 Meeting Recap!

Good morning everyone! Thank you to all who came to our meeting yesterday! Here is the recap of everything we covered, plus service info:

Meeting Recap:

• We discussed some big news and upcoming events, like BOLD & GOLD HOMECOMING and the return of the BW ROTARACT SILENT AUCTION!
  • For Bold & Gold...
    • Congratulations to our TWO Homecoming Court nominees, Berta Gashi and Elanna Su!
    • Have a vehicle that can tow a float? We're looking for volunteers for that, as well as decorating the float and walking in the parade!
  • For the silent auction...
    • We've started organizing planning committees for the spring silent auction- interested? Reach out to an officer or sign up for a committee here!
      • We also voted on the organization we plan to support with the proceeds from the silent auction: the Malawi Children's Village!
• We're still looking for Rotaract t-shirt designs! Got an idea? Send it along to VP Rachel at rfibbi22@bw.edu !
• Our first fundraiser is coming up- join Rotaract at Chipotle (17999 Bagley Rd) on Wednesday, October 22 from 4-8pm and help support our service projects :)

Service Opportunities:

• Help pass out candy on Sunday, October 26 from 3-4:30pm at the Laura's Home Trunk-or-Treat!
• Put together care packages for the women and children of Laura's Home with us and other student organizations on Monday, November 3 from 5-7pm in Sandstone 3!
• Sort ballots (at $20/hr!) and pay off your club dues on Tuesday, November 4 from 6-11pm with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Processing Night! Rotaract will provide transportation as long as you sign up here.
• Remember to email rotaract@bw.edu to log your service hours! Please include:
  • Name and BW email
  • What you did and with who (organization)
  • How long
  • Any feedback (which will be kept anonymous)
    • And don't forget that ANY service you do counts, not just what you do with us! We support all of your efforts to better the community :)
