District Governor Visit Recap!

Good morning everyone and WELCOME BACK from winter break! Thank you to all who came to our meeting yesterday! Here is the recap of everything we did, including a lecture from our very special guest speaker, Rotary District 6630 Governor Bob Oborn!

Meeting Recap:

• First and foremost, we had the honor of hosting Rotary District 6630 Governor Bob Oborn! He encouraged any and all Rotaract members to reach out if they ever need help and explained his priorities as governor, including increasing membership, assisting the Rotary Youth Exchange program, and creating an addiction resources database for the Rotary website.
• Don't forget that dues are due by Sunday, Feb. 1 - give cash or Venmo Treasurer Marisa Fiorini (Marisa-Fiorini-1)!
  • Dues are $30 for new members and $25 for returning members.
  • Your dues also include a club t-shirt - the form to mark what size you want is coming soon!
• We received feedback about the last events of the last semester - thank you to everyone who came to the Jack Frost Festival and Generations Senior Living Caroling!
• Stay tuned for more details about our international collabs with Interact in Kosovo and Rotaract in Ghana!

Upcoming Service Opportunities:

• Help make bouquets and chocolate-covered strawberries, sing karaoke, and play cornhole with the residents of Generations Senior Living on Saturday, February 14 from 1:30-4pm!
• Mark your calendars for the annual Rotaract Silent Auction on Saturday, February 28! Doors will open at 5:30pm. Interested in volunteering or providing a basket? Contact rotaract@bw.edu or any of the exec board members!
