The BW Women's Rugby team won the Shield Bracket at the National Collegiate Rugby 2024 Collegiate Rugby Championship. The team finished 13th in the nation, going 2-2 on the weekend and seeing impressive play from rookie and veteran players alike. The Yellow Jackets saw tries from Haylee Roach (5), Jessica Sambor (4), Sarah Griffin (2), Ella Sonby (2), Kaleigh Loyd (1), Maggie Moc (1), and Shauna Whitt (1), with Moc responsible for three conversions and Sambor two. Roach and Sambor ranked sixth and ninth on the tournament statistic leaders board for tries. The team fell to East Stroudsburg 15-22 and South Dakota University 10-14, and won 29-15 over Loyola and 36-0 over Western Oregon University.
