CUSTOMIZING YOUR COURSE SURVEYS

Instructors will receive notification approximately one week before surveys open to students announcing the courses have been loaded in CoursEval.  At this time instructors can preview their surveys in CoursEval.  These courses will be listed under MY COURSE Surveys in CoursEval.  Be sure to check that all department level questions have been added correctly and that all of your courses are listed.

You can be customize your survey(s) in 2 ways before surveys are opened to students:

1.   Customizing the open and close dates of the survey.  These dates must be in the window of the open and close dates announced for the entire survey.  Some instructors just open for a specific class time and allow for the students to complete their surveys during class.

2.   Adding additional questions.  Additional course-specific questions can be added to the survey at this time.  These questions are added manually every semester unless you you have contacted us to setup the questions to be added every semester.    Instructions to add additional questions can be found below in the Adding Additional Questions Instructions.  The faculty course-added question bank has become very large and questions were hard to find. Any questions that have not been used in the past 3 years have been archived. The remaining questions have been put into categories so hopefully it is easier for you to locate them.  Below is an excel file of the questions in the question bank so you can search for your previously used questions.  If you cannot find a question from the question bank, you can request a question to be added.  (please see the Adding Additional Questions Instructions below).  Questions can only be added to the survey up until the time when responses are received.
