BW Commencement Resources

Updates, resources and information regarding Commencement for graduating BW students.

Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. in Ursprung Gymnasium.

 

Commencement tickets now available

Each graduate can claim up to six (6) guest tickets for the ceremony online. Guests will be asked to present printed tickets or show their tickets on their phones at the commencement site entrance. Unused tickets may be shared with other graduates and their families.

To claim your tickets, you will use your student ID number (Do not enter the beginning zeros) as your passcode. Your ID number is a single-use passcode. Please claim the number of tickets you need. Please Note: You will NOT be able to claim tickets multiple times. You can also claim your tickets through the HomeTown Fan app. If you are unable to claim your tickets, please contact info@bw.edu.

Please claim your tickets by April 17. Unclaimed tickets will be made available to other students.

Only students who have completed the First Destination Survey will be eligible to request additional guest tickets. Those who have completed the survey by April 20 will receive an email explaining how to claim additional tickets based on availability.

Order cap, gown and tassel

You can order your Commencement regalia from the Campus Bookstore.

Students earning a bachelor’s degree with honors (cumulative GPA of 3.6 or above) will be issued Honor Cords by the University. Qualifying students will receive an email with instructions for obtaining their cords.

Stoles are distributed by the sponsoring organization. Contact the appropriate organization for information.

 
 
 
 

Complete the First Destination Survey

As you graduate, please take 1 to 2 minutes to complete BW’s First Destination Survey. Your response helps us understand where our graduates are headed, including jobs, graduate school, service, or continued exploration, and it ensures that BW can strengthen academic programs and career support for future Yellow Jackets.

Parking for Commencement

To accommodate individuals with special needs, the Lou Higgins Recreation Center parking lot on Bagley will be available for those who require accessible parking .

Guests are welcome to park in other University parking lots.

 
 
 
 

Graduation Photography

BW has partnered with GradImages to provide graduate photos. All graduates will be directed to a photo station immediately after exiting the commencement stage and have a photo taken. For information about ordering photos, visit GradImages online, contact their customer service department at (800) 261-2576 or through email. Students who register with GradImages before Commencement Day at gradimages.com/preregistration can receive a 20% discount on their entire order.
