FSCs provide a unique opportunity for small teams of students and one or more faculty members to work together on research or creative projects during the academic year.
Through FSC courses, Baldwin Wallace University encourages and supports faculty-student collaborators as they tackle the inquiry-based, unscripted problems typical of research, scholarship and other creative endeavors. These courses facilitate the engagement of students and full-time faculty in the deep learning required for the creation, practice, and sharing of knowledge or works in their area of professional study. Enrollment in the course is competitive and requires that collaborating students and full-time faculty submit a project application.
Applications for fall 2022 FSCs are now open and are due on February 1, end of business day.
FSC applications are reviewed by the Honors and Scholars Advisory Council. The council utilizes the rubric below to score proposals.
Please utilize the attachment below as an example of a very strong FSC proposal. This proposal was for spring 2021, so it varies slightly from the proposal template for fall 22.
