Strong MFA Coming to Colleague

Dear BW Community,

We’re improving how we protect university systems and your information. Starting on September 8th, BW IT will require strong multi-factor authentication (MFA) to sign into Colleague UI.

What’s new?

SMS text and voice calls will no longer be supported as MFA methods because they’re less secure and vulnerable to attacks.

What does this mean for you?

To keep your access, you’ll need to enroll your BW account in one of these secure methods:

• Microsoft Authenticator app
• Outlook Lite app
• Approved FIDO2 security key
