Our Teams

Alumni Engagement focuses on engaging alumni and friends of BW, and occasionally current students and community members in activities, communications and services that connect them with one another and the University, with the ultimate goal of building lifelong relationships that benefit both them and BW students. This office represents the "4L" in the YJ4L brand, keeping Yellow Jackets connected to BW "4 Life." BW's Student Ambassadors, who interact with alumni and donors at a variety of events, are advised through this team.

Annual Giving focuses on annual gifts to BW, which includes unrestricted financial support, or support for area of greatest need within the University, as well as deisgnated gifts to a variety of academic departments, athletics and other special programs. This department oversees the student giving program, activities of the BW phone center, the Heart of BW faculty/staff campaign, the BIG GIVE and our class rep volunteer program.

Prospect Development and Data Analytics are teams responsible for the collection and management of data held in BW's alumni and donor records, research on prospects or potential donors to BW, as well as for expressing gratitude to donors for their gifts and demonstrating to them the impact their philanthropy has on BW students.

Philanthropy builds relationships among members of the BW community -- both internally and externally -- for the purpose of raising contributed funds, often in large amounts, for endowed scholarship funds, capital projects, and other special programs.

Planned Giving manages giving through more complex means, including estate bequests, charitable trusts and gift annuities (both of which generate income for the donors, as well as provide financial resources to support BW).

How can I enroll in payroll deduction?

Use our online form to enroll or contact the annual giving department to request a form at ext. 2135 or bwannual@bw.edu.

How can I submit an alumni update, for myself or someone else?

We love receiving contact information updates and news from and about alumni! Updates may be sent through the alumni update form or by emailing bwalumni@bw.edu.

How do I nominate an individual for a BW alumni award?

Nominations are accepted for the Alumni Merit Award, the Conservatory Alumni Achievement Award, the Athletics Hall of Fame, and the Family Heritage Award. Details here on award criteria and links to online nomination forms.

How do I place a request for data from the BW database?

Please complete the data request form to obtain information from the BW database (e.g. mailing list of recent alumni from your department). You will be contacted by a member of the Prospect Research and Data Analytics team for more details.
