Join BW's Black Alumni Network on April 12 and 13 for our third annual Black Alumni Weekend! Students and BW faculty and staff welcome! We look forward to gathering with BW Black Alumni for an exciting line-up of events. Click here for a full event schedule.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12 
  • Obie Bender Multicultural Awards Ceremony – 6:30 p.m. Students welcome! 
    An annual affair to celebrate the achievements of current Black and minority students at BW's Strosacker Student Union Ballroom.
  • Alumni Mixer – 9 p.m.
    Socialize with your fellow alumni at the Tuscany Room of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Middleburg Heights.
SATURDAY, APRIL 13
  • Building Our Hive Workshops – 10 a.m. Students welcome! 
    Take part in three workshops to build your inner hive in Sandstone 3 at the Strosacker Student Union - Becoming a Workerbee, Bee Financially Responsible, and Strengthening Our Hive. 
  • "Welcome Black" Block Party – 1 p.m. - Students welcome!
    Enjoy a free cookout lunch at the walkway in front of the Strosacker Student Union. Come ready to shop one of our featured Black-owned business vendors. 
  • Denim & Blues Fundraiser Party – 7 p.m.
    Hosted by the Black Alumni Network, this event will raise funds to support Black students with need-based funding through the BSA Alumni Scholarship at Tony K's Bar & Grille in Berea. Tickets $35. Alumni and friends 21 and over.
