Sexual Assault Awareness Month Events

Weekly throughout April, 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Union. Wearing teal is one way to show support for survivors of interpersonal violence. Stop by the table with staff from the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and BW’s Title IX Coordinator to learn about resources, reporting, and responses at BW, strategies for supporting a culture of respect, and pick up a teal ribbon.

Virtual Clothesline Project: April 25, 11 am-2 pm, Union Faculty Lounge.

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of statistics about interpersonal violence, survivors’ stories, and statements of support for survivors. The project increases awareness, affirms survivors, and offers information about resources to prevent and respond to interpersonal violence.

The More We Know, The More We Can Help: April 9, 4pm, Sandstone 1.

Join a panel from the College of Nursing, Counseling Services, Student Affairs, and Employee Wellness for an insightful conversation on sexual assault awareness, recognizing warning signs, seeking care, and accessing resources.

Red Flag Campaign: April 8-12, Union East Lawn.

The Red Flag Campaign is a national campaign to create awareness of some of the “red flags” in unhealthy relationships. These flags, some of which were written by members of the BW community, serve as a reminder and a call to action: speak up and take action before these warning signs cause further harm.
