Accountability Groups

  • What is an Accountability Group?

    • A group of students who meet weekly to set goals, share progress, and motivate one another
    • Each group is led by an Academic Coach, who provides planning help and encourages students to use effective study strategies.

  • Students who join an Accountability Group will:

    • Set short-term goals - Set learning targets for multiple bursts of studying
    • Check in - Share progress, challenges, success stories, and tips with the rest of the group
    • Stay accountable - Participants encourage each other to stay on track
    • Build a study routine - Identify and practice effective learning techniques with an Academic Coach

  • Students may benefit from joining an Accountability Group if they:

    • Want to manage their time more efficiently
    • Find it difficult to focus
    • Struggle to complete work on time
    • Need help setting and sticking to goals
    • Are unsure how to study effectively
    • Thrive with structure, support, and group encouragement
