How It Works

Hours, Location, & Pay

Time Commitment
Students will be required to work up to 8 hours per week.  During this time you will be attending training, working with your consulting team, working on your project, and participating in professional development.

Work Location
This is a hybrid position. You will be working as part of a team of consultants with a project advisor.  With this in mind, it will be necessary to work on-campus at least 6 hours of scheduled time in an office per week. The remainder of the time can be remote.

Pay
$15.00/hr. If you successfully complete the training program and meet performance expectations, you will receive a promotion and can work on future consulting projects throughout your time at BW.

Experiential Learning
Participants will receive EXP-Leadership credit upon completion.

Program Overview

As a participant in the program you will:

Act as a consultant, driving growth for a student entrepreneur

Gain exclusive access to professional development experiences

Receive coaching from experienced project advisors

Build professional skills through specialized training sessions, including:

• Design Thinking

• Research Strategies

• Project Management

• Creating & Delivering Powerful Presentations

Qualifications & Requirements

Sophomore and/or Junior status preferred

All majors welcome

3.0 GPA or above

Faculty, staff, or employer reference

Ability to work 8 hours per week, with 6 hours scheduled on campus

Interest in innovation, research, data analysis, and a willingness to learn

Strong organizational skills and a creative, problem-solving mindset

Excellent written/verbal skills, including some experience in creating and delivering presentations
