PRESIDENT

The President of the United Staff Senate at Baldwin Wallace University leads and represents the university’s staff community, fostering collaboration and advocating for staff interests. This role involves presiding over Senate meetings, facilitating discussions on policies and initiatives, and promoting professional development and workplace well-being. Acting as a liaison to university leadership, the President conveys staff feedback and recommendations to shape institutional decisions. With a focus on inclusivity and engagement, the President drives initiatives that enhance staff recognition and contribute to a positive campus culture, aligning with the university’s mission to support a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive community for all staff.

VICE PRESIDENT

The Vice President of the United Staff Senate supports the President in leading and representing the staff community, serving as a key collaborator in advancing the Senate’s goals and initiatives. This role involves assisting in the planning and facilitation of meetings, contributing to discussions on policies and programs, and stepping in to lead when the President is unavailable. The Vice President helps ensure effective communication between staff and university leadership, advocating for staff needs and priorities. The Vice President collects feedback from constituents and create an annual report. By fostering engagement and collaboration, the Vice President plays an essential role in promoting a supportive, inclusive, and thriving campus environment.

SECRETARY

The Secretary of the United Staff Senate plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization’s operations and records. This position involves managing meeting agendas, taking accurate minutes, and distributing them to members in a timely manner. The Secretary ensures effective communication within the Senate and with the broader campus community by maintaining clear, organized documentation of discussions, decisions, and initiatives. Additionally, the Secretary oversees correspondence, tracks attendance, and supports the logistical needs of the Senate. Through attention to detail and organizational skills, the Secretary helps ensure the Senate’s activities are transparent, efficient, and aligned with its goals.

TREASURER

The Treasurer of the Staff Senate oversees the financial management of the organization, ensuring transparency and accountability in all fiscal matters. This role involves maintaining accurate records of the Senate’s budget, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports. The Treasurer collaborates with other Senate members to allocate funds effectively for events, initiatives, and projects that support the staff community. Additionally, the Treasurer assists with fundraising efforts, manages reimbursements, and ensures compliance with university policies. By maintaining financial integrity, the Treasurer plays a key role in supporting the Senate’s goals and fostering a positive impact on the campus. This position will serve as a Senator at large and assist with duties from the other executive officers until a budget is established.

DIVISION REPRESENTATIVE

A Division Representative on the United Staff Senate serves as a vital link between their specific division and the broader Senate. This role involves gathering input from staff within their division, representing their concerns, ideas, and priorities in Senate discussions, and sharing updates and decisions from the Senate back to their colleagues. Division Representatives foster open communication, encourage staff engagement, and advocate for initiatives that address the unique needs of their division. By ensuring diverse perspectives are included, Division Representatives play a key role in shaping policies and initiatives that benefit the entire campus community.
