Student Employment Center (SEC) and Working on Campus

Welcome to BW!

We invite you to check out the Student Employment Center page on Jacket Connect. As a full-time registered undergraduate student (taking 12 or more credits per semester), you are eligible to work on campus.

1. Visit JobX to find and apply for a job on campus. Once logged in, you can locate "Find a Job" under "Other Links."

2. Once in the "Students" section of JobX, we recommend doing a "Quick Search."

3. Click on the Job Title for information about the posted position. Once you have found a job you are interested in, and it works with your schedule, you click on the  “Click here to apply for this job" link and completing the job application. You will receive a confirmation message to show that your application has been submitted successfully. You will need an updated resume to apply.

4. Once a supervisor chooses to hire you, you will receive an email with information about next steps including a link to the JOBX DASHBOARD to complete the required 5 employment forms.
Please click here for more information on employment forms.

5. Scroll down to the “Hires Pending Action” section. If it says “Incomplete - Pending Forms” on the right side of the screen, then you will need to complete all 5 of your employment forms.

6. Once your employment forms have all been completed, you must bring your forms of ID to the Student Employment Center.

7. Once the forms are completed and the SEC has your ID for employment forms, you will see a blue button to “Accept/Decline” the job position. You will need to accept before you can begin working.

How Do I Get Paid?

Pay periods are two weeks long, beginning on a Sunday and ending on a Saturday.

Students are paid bi-weekly on the Friday following the end of a pay period. For a copy of the semester’s pay schedule, please click here.

• You have a choice as to how you are paid:
a) You can have your pay go directly into your own bank account
b) You can have your pay go directly into your BW Billing account (tuition)
c) You can opt to split your pay between options A and B

• Before you make any changes or close a bank account, please be sure to notify the SEC a minimum of five days prior to the pay date. There will likely be a delay in your pay if we are not notified properly.

• Your first pay might be a paper check. If that happens, you will receive an email from SECmail@bw.edu with more information.

• Your pay statements and your W-2s will be online on ADP Workforce Now (workforcenow.adp.com). Within two weeks of being hired and paid for the first time, you will receive an email from SecureServices_NoReply@adp.com with instructions
