Megan drinks way too much coffee and attempts to keep up with her husband, two kids, two grey cats, nineteen houseplants, and hundreds of students. She loves that students expose her to new concepts as they work together on readings for BW courses across all disciplines.

Julie C. is a foodie, enthusiastic Guardians baseball and Ohio State football fan, and enjoys traveling and the outdoors. Her passion is helping students with their transition to college and finding their “Aha!” light bulb moments with challenging math and statistics concepts.
Office Manager of CASA
Julie is a nature enthusiast that dabbles in photography. She is also a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs and the IndyCar Series. Her favorite part of the job is making connections with students and seeing them reach their full potential.
Learning Specialist
Outside of her time in CASA, Maddie enjoys playing video games, board games, reading, anything nerdy, and hanging out with her adorable cat: Winston Purrchill. She enjoys helping students craft and test systems that are realistic, tailored to their needs, and helps them achieve their goals!

Megan loves to spend time with her family and any activity outside. She enjoys hiking, camping, biking, and kayaking. Megan enjoys working with the students at BW and particularly enjoys seeing their growth over their time here.
Academic Coach, Assistant Professor (Sociology)
Betsy is a sociologist, an academic success mentor, an outdoors enthusiast, and a (literal) tree hugger. She enjoys helping BW students overcome any obstacle they may face and discover more confidence in the process, as they build a foundation of meaningful relationships here at BW.
Academic Coach, Manager of Veterans and Military Services
Mike's hobbies include spending time with his wife and kids hiking or cheering on the Guardians at the ballpark! Mike enjoys working with students and helping them realize they can take control of available time. He says "When students realize just how much control they have over their daily lives, it opens new doors!"
Reading Specialist
If she's not spending time rewatching episodes of The Office, you'll find Judette reading or doing crafts. She enjoys working with students and seeing students' happiness when they make a breakthrough. She says the excitement when they become engaged in learning is truly fulfilling.
Writing Specialist
Eric Gardner enjoys playing golf and guessing when his bookshelf will collapse under the weight of a leaning tower of books. He enjoys helping students with all aspects of their writing, particularly brainstorming ideas, developing strong thesis statements, and providing feedback on personal statements for graduate school applications.

Tammy enjoys prayer and solitude, being in nature, and working on her novel (it's getting there...). She enjoys de-mystifying the writing process for students, offering friendly feedback and helpful tips for any type of text they are planning, writing, or revising.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time in nature. In the fall, especially, you can find her roaming through one of the many parks in her hometown, taking way too many photographs of trees! Heidi's favorite part of her job is helping students gain confidence in their writing.

Jo Ellen holds Masters's Degrees in both Education and Library Science! She is a long-time Berea resident who enjoys walking around the campus. She is a Reference Librarian and Writing Specialist at Ritter Library and enjoys wearing these two hats at BW. She feels that they blend well together!
