Information about 2026 Instrumental Ensemble Auditions

Instrumental ensemble auditions are required for all Conservatory students; and are additionally open to any student who wishes to audition for:
• Baldwin Wallace Symphony Orchestra
• Baldwin Wallace Symphonic Wind Ensemble
• Baldwin Wallace Symphonic Band

• Audition expectations:
  • Students will prepare and perform to the best of their ability
  • Students will have listened to each piece (in its entirety) with their part (and/or a full score) in hand
  • Students will perform their excerpts close to or at performance tempo
  • Students will dress in an appropriate manner for auditions (at the minimum, no t-shirts/shorts)

Monday, August 24 in Gamble Auditorium

3:00 Percussion (in percussion studio)
6:00 Oboe
6:45 Bassoon
7:25 Clarinet
8:45 Flute

Tuesday, August 25

3:00 Trombone (location TBA)
3:30 Trumpet (location TBA)
4:40 Horn in Gamble
5:30 Harp/Piano in Gamble

Wednesday, August 26

10am-12pm Make-up auditions (location: K206)
