Corrie Anne is always kind and welcoming! I was stressed when I first came here, but she made me feel safe and comfortable. She always wants my schedule to be comfortable for me, and I can ask her any question, any time.

I'm really grateful for all the guidance and support she has given me and time and care put into helping me reach my goals.

She is amazing at what she does. She is driven, intelligent, kind, hilarious, and one of the best critical thinkers out there! I love and admire her.

I have never talked to Dr Monahan personally before but he was very welcoming and helpful with answering my questions regarding honors program requirements. He was very attentive when answering my emails and made our conversation enjoyable. It truly felt like he wanted to set me up for success.

Dr. Lane is one of the best professors and advisors a person could ask for. She is incredibly kind, friendly, and personable; just passing her in the hallway can brighten your day. As an advisor, she does everything in her power to make your collegiate journey as smooth and stress-free as possible. She will even go out of her way to talk to her colleagues about seats and class times to ensure you can get into the classes you need, when you need them. One thing I love most about Dr. Lane is how she creates a warm, welcoming environment where you can have open dialogue and even joke around, while still getting the guidance you need as a college student. Dr. Lane takes the stress out of registration and college as a whole, and she never fails to put a smile on my face when I see her.

I would like to recognize my academic advisor for her incredible support throughout my journey. From the start, she helped me carefully plan and schedule my semesters so I wouldn’t run into issues with registration later on, which made a huge difference. She also guided me in choosing a class when the one I wanted was waitlisted, keeping me on track. Beyond academics, I truly appreciated her taking the time to send an encouraging message about my involvement outside of nursing and how I represent the profession on campus. I’m very grateful for her guidance, encouragement, and support.

Dr. Christie is an invaluable resource for anything you might need as a college student. When it is time for class registration, he is quick to respond to emails and always willing to find a time to meet. He works with you every step of the way to ensure that you get into the classes you both want and need. Beyond registration and basic advising, Dr. Christie is consistently available for additional support. He will always point you in the right direction for anything you may need and is always there to listen and offer advice if you just need someone to talk to. Incredibly friendly and patient, he always makes a point to understand how you feel as a student. Additionally, Dr. Christie is intentional about never making decisions for you. He offers his opinions and insight into what he might do in your situation, but always leaves you with complete control over your time as a college student. Overall, he is an exceptional advisor and truly one of BW’s greatest resources.

My advisor truly cares about me and makes me feel like I'm never facing any challenges alone. She has also advised my independent study and senior thesis. I appreciate her making time to advise me for all my years here at BW!

Every semester that since my first year at BW Dr. Chen has been an outstanding advisor. Bryan not only acts as my advisor, but is also the Associate Dean, Program Director, Associate Professor, and Chair of a department. Yet, he still takes time to know me personally, give me advice, support me as an internship advisor, acknowledges my work, and supports AMA with the networking trip, taking time away from his busy schedule. I can't thank him enough for his committment to his students!

I would like to recognize Prof. Selemani for her patience and generosity throughout my academic career at BW. Professor Harley truly goes above and beyond for her advisees. She has made every possible effort to ensure I can graduate ahead of schedule at BW. She went so far as to ensure not only that I take all the classes I need in the correct semester, but also pointed out any opportunities I could take for internships, summer credit programs, or post-graduation opportunities. She also took initiative in contacting departments when I needed to take a summer course, or take something I didn't yet have the requirements for. I could not have gotten through college nearly as easily without her guidance.

My advisor has been so helpful and encouraging this year! She encouraged me to go on a study abroad trip to Guatemala and it was a life changing experience.
