    The Idzerda Family Scholarship

    The Idzerda Family Scholarship

Geraldine Idzerda established this scholarship in honor of the Idzerda family and her parents, BW graduates Geraldine Waters '45 and Stanley Idzerda '47. The Idzerda family grew up in a middle income household with seven children. Due to their income level, they were not eligible for need-based grants and scholarships. On paper, they weren't considered high need, but scholarships would have helped the family significantly. The goal for this scholarship is to assist with out-of-pocket tuition costs for middle-income BW students who are not receiving substantial scholarships or federal grants.
