Please Watch the introduction video to learn how to upload your photo for your BW ID. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process, ensuring your photo meets the requirements for your official BW ID. Having your ID ready is essential for accessing campus buildings, residence halls and paying for meals, so be sure to follow the instructions carefully.
Launch an internet browser on your device (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
Enter myjecard.bw.edu in the address bar of your internet browser, then press Enter or Go.
Enter your BW Email Address in the Username field.
Enter your BW Password in the Password field. Click Sign in.
When the My JE Card website loads, click ID Photo to progress to the upload photo section.
Click the Upload Photo button to progress to the upload photo section.
NOTE: Pay special attention to the ID Photo Requirements. If the photo you upload does not meet all requirements, the photo will be rejected.
HEAD SHOT ONLY! (Cropped from just above the top of the head to the collarbone)
Centered, frontal view of full face - no profile
Eyes open and visible (wear prescription glasses if you normally do so)
Solid white, smooth background (Tip: Use a white towel, sheet or large piece of paper as a backdrop.)
No hats, scarves and other head coverings unless 'usually and customarily worn in public' for religious purposes
Recent color photo
Bright, even lighting
Acceptable file format: .jpg file format
Minimum pixel size: 600px by 600px
Maximum file size: 2 MB
Select the location where the photo you intend to upload is being stored.
Photo Library: If you have a headshot that meets all of the ID Photo criteria, select the photo from your device's photo library to use as your BW ID Photo.
Take Photo: If you do not have a headshot that meets all of the ID Photo criteria, select Take Photo to use your device's camera to take a photo to upload and use as your BW ID Photo.
Choose File: If you have a headshot that needs all of the ID Photo criteria stored on your device's file folder, select Choose File and navigate to the location of that file.
Use the tools located at the bottom of the crop and copy window to crop your photo to only a head shot or to adjust the orientation of your photo.
Click Submit when you are finished with your adjustments.
After you have made your adjustments, click Submit a second time to officially submit your photo for approval.
Your photo is now uploaded for approval. Please allow 30 minutes for the approval process.
